I’m so excited to have finished this sunshine-y, watercolor art of California tidy tips flowers!
These tidy tips are a native California plant. This daisy-like flower is a member of the sunflower family. It has a “composite flower head” — meaning each flower is actually hundreds of tiny flowers (called florets) surrounded by longer petals. These flowers attract many insects, but are particularly important nectar plant for the threatened Checkerspot butterfly, according to the California Native Plant Society.

With yellow petals and white tips, these flowers feel like literal rays of sunshines! I can’t wait to get prints and stickers of these joyful little beauties out to you! Stay tuned for more info about preorders!
XOXO,
Hannah
