She did it! This weekend my oldest, Mercedes, was baptized as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The day went off without a hitch — save for a cockroach in the bathroom that made Mercedes scream! Otherwise, it was all sunshine and doves and rainbows.

I was able to display the dove and rainbow artwork I made Mercedes for the occasion. It felt like the perfect fit for a happy day, for a happy, rainbow and art-loving little girl.

Congrats to Mercedes on her baptism day! I sure love you!
